Free Crochet Pattern: Stemless Champagne Flute Cozy

Materials

US G/4.00 mm crochet hook
Approx. 30 grams of medium #4yarn (I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton!)
Scissors
Tape measure
Yarn needle
Stitch marker

Gauge

Rather than making a gauge swatch, I recommend measuring your base instead. It should have an approximate 1.5″ diameter (or whatever diameter your flute’s base measures). If it’s too big, go down a hook size; if it’s too small, go up a hook size.

Finished Measurements

Base Diameter: 1.5″
Flat: 4.25″ L x 3.25″ W

Crochet Pattern

Round 1

Create a MC. CH 1. SC x8 into the MC. Join with a SL ST (8 SC).

Round 2

CH 1. SC x2 into the first ST and each remaining ST around. Join with a SL ST (16 SC).

Round 3

CH 1. SC x2 into the first ST. SC x1 into the next ST. SC x2, SCx1. Repeat ** 6 more times. Join with a SL ST (24 SC).

Round 4

CH 2. BLO DC x1 into the first ST and each remaining ST around. Join with a SL ST (24 DC).

Round 5

CH 1. SC x1 into the first ST and each remaining ST around. Join with a SL ST (24 SC).

Round 6

CH 2. DC x1 into the first SC ST. FPDC x1 around the next DCST below (refer to the notes and photos on the previous page). DC x1,FPDC x1. Repeat ** 10 more times. Join with a SL ST (24 DC).

Round 7

CH 1. SC x1 into the first ST and each remaining ST around. Join with a SL ST (24 SC).

Round 8

CH 2. FPDC x1, DC x1. Repeat ** 11 more times. Join with a SL ST (24 DC).

Rounds 9-20

Repeat Rounds 5-8 (three times).

Round 21

CH 1. SC x1 into the first ST and each remaining ST around. Join with a SL ST (24 SC). Finish off.
